There will be a test! 🇪🇸

Last week, we spoke on TRR about the possibility of cancelling the 2024 Valencia Marathon, which takes place on 12/01, due to the situation mentioned above.
During this last week, however, the general organization of the event released a video on its social networks announcing that the event will be maintained.
In the video, which shows moving scenes from the events of the last month, the narrator briefly talks about the speed of the incident.
She says that despite everything, it was an opportunity for people to show their best side in the midst of darkness, and not only rebuild everything that was destroyed, but build something much greater: their strength and humanity.
“Valencia will run for Valencia” - the slogan is used to show the unity of the city, and introduce the principles of this year's marathon: running to help those affected by the catastrophe and to pay tribute to the lives that were lost.
To end the video, the message is that “all we care about is breaking a record, that of solidarity […] there is no greater goal than being united”.
More than just a sport: On the same day as the marathon, a street race will take place in Madrid with 5,000 participants over 3 different distances (2, 5 and 10km) for the Valencia cause. In addition to the runners, non-athletes who wish to donate can do so via this link.
Happy news after moments of tension, assuming that if the test was confirmed it is because the situation is already returning to normal.

Since the beginning of November, coaches and running consultants have been required to pay a monthly maintenance fee to Ibirapuera Park.
The issue has generated a lot of controversy, especially from advisors, who say that the space is a public asset for common use, whose use is, by law, free and accessible to anyone.
Urbia, owner of the park concession, says that the charge is provided for in the Master Plan and the Concession Contract, and will only be made for private and professional sports consultancies.
The amount raised by the charge will be used by the administrator for maintenance and organization of the park space, so that there are better conditions for these same consultancies that sell the training to provide their services.
But how much will each consultancy have to pay?
Prices vary from R$240 to R$1500, depending mainly on 3 factors: the number of students in the consultancy, whether the consultancy is associated with the ATC (São Paulo Running Coaches Association), in addition to the plan that the consultancy decides to pay (monthly, semi-annual or annual).
The dispute is currently in court, but until further notice, the charges will continue to be made to coaches and advisors.

After the world marathon record last year, it was the turn of the European 10km record to be broken by a promising athlete.
Last Sunday, Frenchman Étienne Daguinos, just 24 years old, lowered the European record for the 10km race in Lille, France, by 3 seconds.
Running in his home country, Daguinos finished the race in 27min04s, with an incredible pace of 2:42min/km. Just to give you an idea, this pace is equivalent to an AVERAGE speed of over 22km/h.
As incredible as it may seem, the time is still an impressive 53 seconds above the world record for the distance, of 26min11s, set by Joshua Cheptegei.
He still has a long way to go (literally, many, many kilometers) in athletics, but the future is promising for Étienne Daguinos.
