One year after Kelvin Kiptum's world record, the Chicago Marathon is back in 2024.
Just like Berlin, expectations for a record are low. On the other hand, the fight for the podium promises to be exciting.
About the route: Like Berlin, the Chicago Marathon route is mostly flat, with just one treacherous climb in the last kilometer of the race.
Despite the slight incline, any small ramp after 40km ends up being unpleasant
Race Structure: The entire structure of Chicago is worthy of applause, from the bib collection to the race itself. The organization in general is excellent and the post-race event is super worthwhile not only for runners but also for spectators.
Please note: Access to pick up your kit is easy, but leaving the pavilion can be a bit complicated. The demand for taxis and Ubers is very high, and it can take a while.
Tip: download the Divvy Bikes app and use the blue bikes scattered around the city.
And for those who are going to run… enjoy the cheering bells as you approach the finish line 🏁
IronMan? No way! Bring on the UB515 🤯

There are crazy people for everything, but there are some people who go overboard…
Swimming 10 km, cycling 421 km and running 84 km in three days of competition. This is Ultraman Brazil, which is now accepting registrations for the 2025 season.
The event will take place on the coast of São Paulo on April 11, 12 and 13, and to register, athletes must go through a selection process that includes interviews, and must prove that they are fit for the challenge.
The competition is divided into 3 days:
Day 1: 10 km swimming and 145 km cycling
Day 2: 276 km by bike
Day 3: 84 km run
In total, 515 kilometers of the race, which lasts approximately (and this approximation can vary a lot) 24 hours.
Each year, the event has around 40 competitors and will be held for the 15th time in 2025.
As if the physical effort required by athletes to compete in UB515 were not enough, the registration fee exceeds R$6,000, a price that impresses even athletes accustomed to IronMan.
Athletes will cover in 3 days what an average person covers in a semester 😵
There are sneakers for every taste 👟

As the end of the year approaches, brands start talking about launches, and the truth is that by the end of 2024 the promise is that we will have launches for all tastes.
Here are some of these releases to keep in mind:
Nike Zoom Fly 6: With two models that are very popular with the public of super carbon plate sneakers, Nike promises to finally deliver in the 6th edition of the Zoom Fly a model for those looking for performance in sneakers without a plate.
A model that stops being cute and becomes a performance model.
New Balance 1080 V14: A model known for its comfort, it should continue to be the most comfortable on NB's feet, especially with the brand's recent super trainer launches.
Basically the same proposal with some improvements.
Adidas Adios Pro 4: After the launch of the EVO, expectations were created regarding the future of the Adios Pro. The proposal is the same, but with some improvements that at least in appearance suggest that the 4th generation will be closer to the Adios Pro EVO 1 than the Adios Pro 3.
Very high expectations and curiosity among fans of the brand's most famous model.
Hoka Clifton 10: The most beloved jack-of-all-trades on the international market (In Brazil, no one competes with the Olympikus Corre). It was already loved in the 9th generation and maintains the proposal for the 10th.
Maintains the proposal, promises improvements.
Asics Novablast 5: The model is already known for being the best super trainer on the market and promises to be even better in its 5th generation. Without a plate, but with a lot of energy return, comfort and stability.
If it stays that way it's good, but it should improve.
