Nem todos que correm são corredores... tem os triatletas também!

Not everyone who runs is a runner... there are triathletes too!

It wasn't about the style...

During the Paris Olympic Marathon, one detail caught the attention of spectators in both the women's and men's races: many of the athletes were wearing a headband with silver details.

The piece of clothing that seemed like a sponsorship was actually essential to soften the hot climate during the race.

Context: In most cases, world marathon organizations decide the date of the race based on the most pleasant time of year to run.

For example: you don't schedule a marathon in the winter when it reaches -10 degrees in Boston, nor in the summer when it reaches 40 degrees in New York.

Returning to Paris: Because it was part of a larger event, in this case the Olympics, it was not possible to escape the summer heat in Paris, with the temperature during the event reaching up to 30ºC.

Because of this, the athletes decided to use technology from the Omius brand, which produces the image strip, and which promises to increase the evaporative surface of the skin by 7x, allowing the body to cool down more efficiently and naturally.

Has anyone seen this before?

Not today, not today… Today yes!

Anyone who followed the men's triathlon knows the drama experienced by New Zealand athlete Hayden Wilde (red) when he was overtaken on the last bend of the race by British athlete Alex Yee (blue), with 200m to go.

Well... last Sunday (18), less than two weeks after the drama in Paris, the scene was repeated at the Supertri Boston event, with the British driver overcoming his rival and showing off (image) after crossing the finish line.

This time, the race consisted of nine stages, that is, three sequences of swimming, cycling and running. The distances were 300m, 4km and 1.6km, respectively.

Even with eight transitions, the race was only decided in the final meters, repeating the electrifying finish of the Paris Olympics.

Let's see if next time there's any gas left and Wilde can finally take home the gold...

Fastest in the world?

Despite winning gold in the 100m and bronze in the 200m, Noah Lyles' feud with other American athletes continues to cause controversy.

The controversy of the moment is with the American football player Tyreek Hill, wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, well known precisely for his speed and explosion.

The running back declared that he would beat the American distance runner in a 50m race.

Lyles, in turn, responded by saying that if Hill is serious, and not just looking for clicks on the internet, he will accept the challenge.

Tyreek Hill ended by telling Noah Lyles to “sign the contract.”

Different sports, different stimuli, but definitely two of the fastest men in the world.

It is worth remembering that Noah Lyles decided his 100m gold medal in the last 20, and that his start and first half of the race were below many runners who finished behind him.

So, in a potential dispute of just 50 meters, who will come out on top?
