Brazil went to Paris, ROCKED the Paralympics and the show continued for the whole world to see!
Best in history ๐ง๐ท๐

As mentioned last week, Brazil was embarking on a historic campaign at the Paris Paralympics.
With the end of the competitions last Sunday (8), what we had set as a fan goal came true: 25 gold medals and an unprecedented top-5 in the medal table.
While we did not have the participation of historic athletes for the first time in 16 years, such as Daniel Dias from swimming, we saw other giants begin or continue their trajectories, such as Gabrielzinho and Carol Santiago, from swimming itself.
Special mention goes to Brazilian athletics and swimming, winning 36 and 26 medals each, respectively.
Pride of the nation, and here comes Los Angeles!
Four weeks, two Majors ๐
This year, the longing for a star-studded marathon isn't as great. With the top athletes competing in the Olympic marathon in Paris, the off-season was different, but the more the merrier!
To open the semester calendar, on September 29th we will have the Berlin Marathon, which celebrates its 50th edition this year. ๐ฉ๐ช
The race in which the old world record was set by Eliud Kipchoge is unlikely to feature any star names this year, as the vast majority chose to run in Paris.
Still, the favorites for the race are Ethiopian Tadese Takele and Kenyans Ronald Korir and Cybrian Kotut. In addition to these, three other athletes who will participate also broke the 2h05min mark.
The second race of the period is the Chicago Marathon. Last year in this same race, Kelvin Kiptum broke the world record with 02:00:35. ๐บ๐ธ
Expectations for this race are high, even for amateurs. As it is the fastest race among the majors, in 2024 the time classification index in Chicago was lower than that of Boston. Completely absurd!
There are good things coming ๐
Finally? ๐
It looks like there is a light at the end of the tunnel for iOS users who want to practice performance-oriented sports.
After years of complaining about battery problems and the quality of the data recorded by the device, Apple decided to upgrade its new Apple Watch Ultra 2.
There are many promises, but the main ones involve the topics already mentioned above: as for the battery, the new duration is โto last an IronManโ; the GPS is described by the American giant as the best on the market.
Still on the subject of the battery, without any activity the battery can last 36 hours in normal mode, or up to 72 hours in economy mode.
It is worth noting that these upgrades were only made for the Ultra 2 model. The model 10 that will be in the same launch follows the standards of the old Apple Watches.
Exceeding SIX THOUSAND REAIS, is buying the watch worth it? ๐ค
Tragic. ๐๏ธ
On September 5, 33-year-old Ugandan marathon runner Rebecca Cheptegei was the victim of a violent incident involving her ex-boyfriend.
According to her father, the incident occurred after months of conflict over a land dispute. While Rebecca was at church, her ex-boyfriend broke into her home and waited for her to return.
Once back with her 11 and 9-year-old daughters, her ex-boyfriend poured gasoline over her body and set it on fire, throwing even more gasoline afterwards.
Despite efforts by neighbors to help, and Cheptegei being taken to hospital, she did not survive her injuries and died from multiple organ failure.
This event took place in Kenya and marks the third case of murder of long-distance runners in the country in the last four years.
Rebecca Cheptegei recently made her Olympic debut, finishing 44th in the marathon in Paris.
