For the second time in his career, Alison dos Santos won a Diamond League in the 400m hurdles. With the first place achieved in Brussels, Belgium, the Brazilian reached six victories in the season and takes the champion's trophy home again after 2022.
💎 What is the Diamond League? The Diamond League is the world's premier athletics circuit. The stages take place in different countries throughout the year. Last weekend's in Brussels was the last of the season.
Once again, Piu didn't give anyone a chance and was the only one to finish the race under 48s, finishing with a time of 47.93s, 0.27s ahead of the second placed rider.
It is also worth noting that the two athletes who finished ahead of Alison at the Paris Olympics, Rai Benjamin and Karsten Warholm, did not participate in the stage.
At just 24 years old, the fans' hope is that this will not be Piu's last Diamond League title, and that for many years to come we will be able to see the most charismatic figure in Brazilian athletics climbing the podium with the Brazilian flag.

To the surprise of some and not so much of others, the Buenos Aires Marathon was the favorite race among Brazilians when it came to running abroad in 2023.
In 2023, of the 9510 participants who completed the race, 1422 were Brazilian (approximately 15%), and the expectation is that this year the number will be even higher.
This Sunday, September 22, the race completes its 40th anniversary, and should once again be the marathon with the most Brazilians registered in the world, with the exception of the races in Brazil.
About the test:
The Buenos Aires Marathon is known for its flat course and proximity to water. With a positive elevation gain of only 76 meters, the race is a favorite among those looking to make time.
Another factor that, despite the variation, helps athletes seeking to make time is the weather: choosing to do the race at the end of winter means the temperature is pleasant and suitable for running races - a minimum of 9ºC and a maximum of 18ºC, in addition to a very low chance of rain.
About the route:
The most difficult part is between kilometers 14 and 24, where most of the few climbs are. The start and finish are in the same place, Parque Sarmiento, and as previously mentioned, the entire 42km lap passes close to the banks of the Rio de la Plata.

The already feared Boston Marathon index has just received an upgrade for the year 2026. Known for being the most difficult, most traditional and most desired major, with the boom in the race it was necessary to readjust it to adapt to the new demand.
Until next year, the rates will start at 3 hours for men and 3h30 for non-binary people and women. From 2026, these marks will have a reduction of 5 minutes that will be passed on to all categories and ages.
Even with the updated brands, it is still expected that there will be time cuts in the most competitive categories, which range from 18 to 59 years old.
For 2025, the index was adjusted to 5min29s for all categories, and the number of registrations was a record 36,406 participants, an increase of 10% for the year 2024.
